1. RM 4.33 per hour in Semenanjung, and RM 3.85 per hour in Sabah & Sarawak. Why are there disparities with Borneo people Najib? Different cost of living? Come on PM, that is the perks of working in rural areas.
2. All sectors excepts domestic worker e.g. maid, gardener and similar category. This is not minimum wage, this is the going rate for such job at the moment. However, Najib has noted that he is aware the desired salary would be RM 1.2k- 1.5k, but could not realised that as it may introduce chaos in job market.
3. 12 months exemption for micro entreprise, except professional firm like medical, legal, architect and engineering which have to roll out within 6 months. Makes sense.
For the rest of it, you can read it via the link above.
COMMENT It is sad that despite the success of the Bersih 3.0 rally, the government’s media have successfully managed to distract some of us from the larger issue which is the demand for electoral reforms.
Many of Bersih’s own supporters, even those who took part in the rally of April 28, have been busy accusing fellow participants of breaking the law and indulging in violence. Some commentators cite the storming of the barbed wire barricade at Dataran Merdeka as the reason why the police shifted their position from “token resistance” back to their old ways.
Others were more crass, calling those who stormed the barricade as “hooligans” who took the law into their own hands despite the court order banning the crowd being inside the square. These so-called law abiding citizens of course do not ask questions like “which law?” or “whose courts?”
Then there are of course others who treat the rally as simply a parade, and that being peaceful means abiding by even the unfair laws symbolised by the barbed wires. Some are clearly been under the illusion that Bersih 3.0 was our answer to the Rio carnival.
Their political loyalty is only laid bare upon reading their ‘eyewitness’ reports taking pains to point out that majority of rally goers were not opposition supporters. In their inability to overcome their inborn allergy of opposition parties such as PAS and PKR, they even make the claim that shouts of ‘reformasi’ were not entertained by the crowd.
One eyewitness, none other than the daughter of Dr Mahathir Mohamad, even points out that no political leader in the country could have mobilised something as big as Bersih. (Gentle reminder: 14 years ago, 100,000 people gathered at the same spot in support of a certain individual that her father despises.)
The truth is that shouts of ‘reformasi’ and ‘Hancur Najib’ were reverberating in liberal doses on that day. Anyone who was there would tell you that slogans against Barisan Nasional had echoed with the same fury and spirited volume as the “non-partisan” shouts of “Bersih” or “Hidup Rakyat”, and spiralled later into the LRT coaches and nearby restaurants.
Those who claim otherwise could be living in their smart sound-proofed walls of wishful thinking, selectively erasing out words they couldn’t stomach.
Clamour for reform takes on a life of its own
Whatever the instructions given by Bersih leaders, the fact is that the clamour for electoral reforms has taken on a life of its own. It is therefore naive to expect that the tens of thousands of people who went there should not storm the barricade, having been told to be as close as possible to Dataran Merdeka.
A video clip going around on the Internet purportedly shows PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim giving the green light to his deputy president Azmin Ali (arrow) to open the barricades blocking Dataran Merdeka.
This clip is then used by some to condemn Anwar as the cause of the police brutality that followed.
I for one have never vehemently come to Anwar’s defence other than my profound sympathy for the vile allegations that he and family have been made to endure. But if Anwar had indeed called for the barricades to be torn down, I really don’t mind putting a photograph of him as my desktop wallpaper!
The truth is that we all went there to break the law. A law devoid of fair play and justice, a law which is enforced to the detriment of ordinary citizens. The barricades blocking our march into Dataran Merdeka are the clearest and most tangible symbol of the government’s animosity to the ordinary public. It would be foolish to be there and not dismantle them.
We did not go there to merely shout and punch the air. We probably did so last year, singing in the rain at the gates of Stadium Merdeka.
This time, it is serious business. There is no time to waste. We are talking about tens of thousands of dubious names in the electoral roll, new voters whose citizenship are suspicious, the continued Big Brother mentality of our tax-funded television channels, and many more.
The peoples of Tunisia and Egypt would not have celebrated the downfalls of their tyrants had they followed the law and stayed outside the perimeters of the heavily fortified Tahrir Square. History is full of examples that for change to happen, removing police barricades is a norm, indeed the act has become a main ingredient of peaceful protests to claim back public places and venues denied to them.
It does not justify any high handedness by the security forces. History is replete with such examples. Change could not have happened if Iranians had obeyed the law against demonstrations during the Shah’s tyranny in 1979, or if the Berlin Wall had not been vandalised in 1989, or if Gandhi had not picked up salt during his 240-mile Salt March in 1930, or if Rosa Parks had not stuck her butt in a bus seat in Alabama in 1955.
Pakatan Rakyat leaders should not pay attention to the constant focus by the police and the Umno media on the storming of the barricade, as if the act were a grave threat against public safety.
This is no time to defend from accusations of violence and vandalism. People were angry, they want reforms. More importantly, they want them now. There is no need to waste time claiming ‘agents provocateurs’ amongst the crowd.
Playing into the hands of propaganda
I find nothing wrong in what some protesters did at Dataran, and simply accusing them of being ‘agents provocateurs’ is not only cliched but also plays into the hands of propaganda. There is no use compiling evidence to back claims of police brutality.
Now is not the time to seek an apology for the treatment meted out on protesters, but an apology over the way institutions of democracy have been raped and systematically undermined. After all, it is why we braved the tear gas, defied police warnings, and by the same logic, stormed the barricades at Dataran Merdeka.
The April 28 rally is not a tea party or simply a ‘walk’ as some who participated in it would like to think. Those who feel we should not have stormed the barricades at Dataran might as well stay home clicking at the ‘like’ button of anti-government Facebook pages, or disappear into some obscure stadium as suggested by the Kuala Lumpur mayor, in keeping with the stand that DAP vice-chairperson Tunku Aziz Tunku Ibrahim has taken.
My only regret was that I was not part of the crowd who tore down the barricades. I was suffering from a tear gas attack near Masjid Jamek, with the multiracial ‘hooligans’-cum-‘pharmacists’ coming to my help offering toothpaste, salt and water, before charging towards a police force that is armed to the teeth and trained to injure.
To those who fail to understand why we defied the law that day, I have this to say: “Kalau takut dengan risiko, jangan bicara soal perjuangan”. Pull aside, chew the gum of defeat and watch the show. That will be better than accusing those who risked personal safety to hammer in the urgency of reforms. To paraphrase a verse from the Qur’an, not equal are those who stay home and those who strive hard with their wealth and their lives.
Digitales Whiteboard an verschiedenen deutschen Schulen

28 April 2012 shall go down in the nation’s history as Merdeka Rakyat when 300,000 rakyat spoke in one voice to demand a free and fair election. The women, youth and men of all races and ages who came down in full force were encouraged by a sense of justice to demand liberation from usurpers. Their message cannot be mistaken – a free country cannot be enslaved anymore.
BERSIH3.0 represents the hopes and dreams of all Malaysians that the political legitimacy of any government in the future can only be attained through a genuine democratic process.
The authority’s response to BERSIH3.0 participants who represent million others across the country is thus an utter disappointment. It is a classic statecraft of authoritarian regimes using the state controlled media to turn the masses who are victims of oppression and brutalities into criminals.
I bear witness to the political awakening of the rakyat as I marched with them from Masjid Negara. The atmosphere was one of enlightenment, rejuvenation and hope. It was an exemplary conduct of a peaceful assembly; a celebration of freedom and unity in the truest sense.
This is the achievement of BERSIH3.0 that will stand the test of time. The rakyat will commemorate 28 April 2012 as the day Malaysia woke up and marched for liberation in one voice.
We shall not be intimidated by continuous lies spawned by the state media. We have a much potent and effective media in our hands as the 300,000 rakyat carry the messages of BERSIH3.0 and liberation to every corner of the nation.
Let the rakyat speak and justice prevail.

Ketika pimpinan PAS mempertegaskan ahlinya bersih dan berdisiplin, tulisan bekas Setiausaha Umno Bahagian, Zahrin Mohd Yasin bahawa sekurang-kurangnya 2,000 anggota polis memakai baju Bersih Sabtu lalu menarik perhatian ramai.

We continue to talk about apps and games this week. If you didn’t see the before and after pictures, please go back to last week’s show.
We also discussed the possibility of having our own PGHK app. Also, there’s a tiny surprise at the end, where you can learn how to add me in Game Center so that you can play games with me.
So Techduology‘s 1st LIVE recording happened today at Starbucks TTDI and it was AWESOME!
Ben and I have been doing this weekly tech videocast since last year and we finally managed to pull everything together to organise a LIVE recording!
The turnout was awesome. We actually expected 30-40 people to come and guess what… 80 people came! AMAGAD!
So here are some photos of the event just now.

The 2 hemsem hosts with our new bunting outside of Starbucks.

The crowd. 80 people!!

Just like our weekly video, we had a few segments.. tech news, gadget reviews and app recomendations.. but during the live recording just now, we added guests interviews and games. Look how happy our guests were, Phat Fabes and Chammaine.

Wah.. studying also come ah!? ahaha cos we had gadgets to give out throughout the show.

Sooo many gadgets to give out it was not even funny. Check this out.. we gave out the SONY Xperia S!

We gave out LOTS of toys/gadgets from Geekzen!

We gave out PUMA goodies!

We gave out 2TB HDD from Western Digital!

We gave out Starbucks merchandises!

We also had few rounds of games to get everyone excited and fresh.
I’d say it was a great gathering/show. Turnout was fastastic… free food and drinks for all… gadgets was awesome… everything went smoothly.

We even trended on Twitter! #techduoLIVE was at the No.3 Trending Topic! Woohoo!
THANKS EVERYONE WHO CAME JUST NOW. YOU GUYS RAWK!

All walks of life joins the Bersih 3.0 rally

Tel-Aviv, like Israel, Palestinian deprived of their rights to rally.

Razor wires or blade wires installed around Dataran Merdeka

Participant looking for empathy from the police.

Police sets up boundaries on Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman

People from all walks of life.

It started off with a peaceful walk.

It was literally, ‘bantah dan duduk’

I guess he was shouting ‘reformasi’, but looked pretty much like someone who’s heading to the stadium to support the Perak Football Team.

Lurking around, curious about things happening.

Walk in peace, no disruption, with exception taking the whole two lane.

Far top left, police didn’t really bother, everyone was enjoying the walk.

I gotta say, some use pretty harsh words.

I have no idea what this uncle wrote. Some help please?

That is a pretty huge turn out. There’s a few more routes like this.

The Hijau Anti Lynas joined Bersih 3.0 afterwards.

Not sure where this is, but looked stuffy.

Penangites came down to KL when they could even do it at their state.

Stranded at Masjid Jamek, no LRT was going to stop. RapidKL kept issuing tickets despite shorting the Masjid Jamek station, soon it became a can of sardine.

Police started shooting the tear gas. I read somewhere, there was a trespass. Notice the smoke from the LRT track above? People kept saying it was planted there, but I think police shot the canisters and landed there.

People were panicking and running away when water canon starts spraying.

This is an ugly sight, not because Bersih rally was littering, they made a run for their life and decided to leave everything they don’t need behind. That includes thong, flip-flops, shoes, drinks, flags etc.

These guns are supposed to be fired in the air, not eye level.

Police has managed to push back the Bersih 3.0 participant, though I reckon brute force isn’t the only way to get people moving.

Some other part of KL, people were rallying for the cause peacefully until…

.. the police force unleashed their demons. Unnecessary.. really unnecessary. I doubt the people were provoking the police to get them. Nobody wants to play chase the chicken with police officers.

Police got hold of his pony tail and decided to discipline them, but why aren’t they wearing uniforms? Are they undercover police officers? Or just some Nepal Security at my office building. This doesn’t make sense. Appreciate if anyone can shed some lights on this.

The guy with the pony tail fell and was being stomped by police officers with high heel boot as if he’s some recycling can. I bet those boot hurts like bitch! Clearly the police was at fault in this. He wasn’t even resisting an arrest and you still kept beating him to pulp.
Good or bad, shit or gold, fucktard or mastermind, muslim or buddhist, it doesn’t matter. These people (Bersih 3.0) stood there to fight their rights, don’t condemn like you’re so innocent that you’ve never masturbated in life. One day, it will be your turn to fight for your right, but which channel are you taking? The behind closed door comments or the loud international gathering. It doesn’t matter, as long as we respect each other’s rights

HOTM was in the thick of the action
At about 3pm ( I think. Not exactly sure ) all hell broke loose. I am not sure why. From Maybank, Jln Yap Ah Loy, I could see people running towards me from the Dataran Mederka end.. Then I could hear the popping of the teargas gun. I run as far as my artificial left hip could carry me, when into smaller lane and hid in a Sport Toto shop, and the many of us there, convince the clerk to shut the shutters. We could still hear teargas popping outside . The tear gas was very thick. After all was quiet for about 5 mins, I told the clerk that I must get back on duty. When the shutters opened, the air was still thick with teargas.
As I walk towards Jln Tun Perak, tying to regroup, the police chase us and fired more tear gas. While I was running for safety, a Chinese man tapped me and asked for help. His wife was bleeding badly from an open wound in the right temple of her scalp. He said that she had been hit by a tear gas cannister. I asked her to lie down, as I tried to examined the wound. I could see a severe spurter ( ? arterial bleed ). As I was examining, I could hear popping and they were still firing tear gas and there I was with my Medic Vest. It meant nothing to them. I asked the husband to help me half carry her to another small side road behind Kota Raya, lie her on the hawker table and attended to her wound, It was obvious that she needed hospital attention. I radioed for help, but after 10 mins, I could hear almost mayhem over the walkie talkie. I asked my team to help me bandaged her scalp wound with pressure bandage, hail down a passing Honda Accord. The driver was kind enough to agree , and send her to Tung Shin Hospital 5 mins away, with one of my doctors and the husband.
There after, I had to attend to another tear gas cannister scalp injury. This was minor. An obese man developed severe asthma ? exertional running ? tear gas allergy, and my team had to attend to him. Also stailised him and send him by private car to Tung Shin hospital.
This is basically the medical report of Medic 3, Bersih 3.0
Tear gas should not be fired directly at persons. Injury or even death may occur as a result of a direct hit from a tear gas cannister. Isn’t this something the FRU should be aware of?
