Google Public DNS Down?

Google just announced Google Public DNS, a new service that lets consumers use Google as their DNS service provider which similar to OpenDNS.

What is Google Public DNS?
Google Public DNS is a free, global Domain Name System (DNS) resolution service, that you can use as an alternative to your current DNS provider.

To try it out:
* Configure your network settings to use the IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS servers or
* Read our configuration instructions.

2009 Year-End Google Zeitgeist Malaysia

As per usual, Google Zeitgeist year 2009 have been published.

How about our country Malaysia? What is the most interesting search keyword? The answer is Jawatan Kosong. Does it really mean a lot of Malaysian job less or looking for job change? Below are more detail about 2009 Year End Google Zeitgeist for Malaysia.

2009 was a year for Malaysians to forge closer ties with one another and look up out-of-touch friends and family as evidenced by the presence of facebook, Friendster, MySpace, Twitter and Tagged in the top and fastest-rising searches for Malaysia. It was also a year that saw new faces, led by YouTube sensation Zee Avi in the entertainment field and politican Elizabeth Wong on the newsmakers list. Malaysians were also clearly interested in the recently-announced 1Malaysia F1 team that was granted permission to compete in next year’s Formula One season.
