Maxis Broadband
Updated: 18 Jun 2009: I can get the maximum download speed about 2Mbps @ Puchong area and less than 200 Kbps @ Cyberjaya area. I would said the Maxis broadband connection speed is really based on location and time.

Most of the people are complain about TMNET Streamyx broadband this and that. However I would like to complain about Maxis broadband today. One of my customer in PJ Selangor area always have internet connection (for the last 2 days) problems during heavy lightning strike.
I have call up Maxis help desk support but they said no problem on their site. Hmmm…. So I was thinking how to prove to them and thanks god I can recall a Linux command “mtr”.
MTR is a network diagnostic tool which is combines the functionality of the traceroute and ping programs in a single network diagnostic tool. As “mtr” starts, it investigates the network connection between the host mtr runs on and HOSTNAME by sending packets with purposely low TTLs. It continues to send packets with low TTL, noting the response time of the intervening routers.
