Firefox “Warning: Unresponsive script”
Posted by Planet Malaysia on July 31, 2006
I got an error “Warning: Unresponsive script” A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete” with my Ubuntu, Firefox 1.5.0.4 and Joomla recently.
What is this? I don’t have such problem in Opera browser with the same web page.
Search around and found the solution. A lot of people have the same problem before.
1. Type about:config in Firefox’s address bar.
2. Filter down to the value for dom.max_script_run_time.
3. Change the value to something higher than the default (which is 5.) I set mine to 200.
What is dom.max.script_run_time?

This generally happens if you have the official version of the Google bar and Session Saver. The solution to this is uninstall both, and replace them with the unofficial version of the Google bar and Session Manager.
Well… that was one of the solutions anyway.
This is a good tips.
I found this url make my cpu got 100% overload (http://www.howtonetworking.com/casestudy/nslookup2.htm).
FYI, I use the latest Firefox 2.0.0.11.
Don’t go there or your computer will freeze. Unless you disable java script on browser.
