Weird! Weird! Weird! Why I don’t see Malaysia available on Apple iPhone Countries lists and I can see an official Maxis iPhone 3G web site.

Do you reall think that an Apple iPhone should cost so much??
On top of the fact that you’re getting a maxis line with it, it should be LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE!
Updated: just received an email from Apple about this and Apple World Tour web site included Malaysia.
this is lame. it should not cost to this much. maxis is only think about cashing out our pocket rather than saving more.
Hi all, just bought iphone a week ago and automatically it went to headmode although i never use the headphone. went to maxis and they took hour to undo but again after a few hours it went back to headphone mode. This problem do happen in many users out there (after reading in web) so please think twice before purchasing this phone.
This comes a little bit late, I know.
The more I look at the iPhone packages, the more ridiculous I think the plans are. Not only one is paying almost 2 times more than the cost of an “illegal” iPhone, the basic features are not up to par compared to most phone’s. It’s more for the cool/wow factor when you use the iPhone, but iPhone is so common these days that it’s not cool anymore.
Comparing plan with plan, I think Digi’s phone bundle plans are more “reasonable”. A simple survey on the street price for the phones available, you can see that Digi isn’t trying that hard/obvious to rip you off. The phones are actually cheaper when you opt for the correct plan.
For my case, the SE W760i does go cheaper as my average monthly usage fee is between RM50 to RM600. I get almost RM150 off (comparing to its RPP) and just slightly above the street price (about RM10). Sounds fair to me.
Anyway, back to the point, should you buy Maxis iPhone? Nope, not now, but probably later when iPhone isn’t that exclusive anymore.
By the way, my friend got the iPhone from Maxis and two days later, hairline cracks started appearing.
