To whom it may concern, please ask broadband providers to fix broadband reliability and speed 'issues'. My broadband requirements are
1. 99% uptime, e.g. less than 7 hours downtime every month.
2. 70% of advertised download speed between Malaysia and major server destinations, e.g. US, UK. For example, if the advertised rate is 512kbps, then minimum download speed is 358k even during 'peak period' if the server can support it.

Currently I have subscribed to two broadband providers to 'meet' some of my requirements.

Dear Exja, the people and outbound marketers at MDeC are working really hard to bring in more of the so called global companies like what u mentioned.

I'm happy to inform you that Satyam will be opening its biggest Global Development Centre outside of India in Malaysia and is looking at employing up to 2000 professionals and executives by 2008.

HP has invested a significant amount of money and will be setting up their Global IT Centre in Cyberjaya. This will also generate thousands of job opportunities as well as upstream and downstream activities that will create jobs and businesses for Malaysians.

Dell is currently building their flagship Malaysian office in Cyberjaya and is looking at hiring more than a thousand workforce.

Yes, to answer your question, we are bringing the global companies here and creating the desired job.

May I point out also that graduates must arm themselves with relevant skills, experience and must HAVE the right ATTITUDE. Through Satyam, we realise that some of our graduates do not have the right mindset to be global, hence up to certain degree, it is all up the graduates. For now, they have employed some foreign graduates to fill up the vacancies, because as a business entity, they need continue with their daily business operations, regardless of our preparedness or otherwise.

For more information, you can contact me directly at azlanpw@mdec.com.my.

best regards
