Linksys WRT54G Firmware upgrade
I have purchased a Linksys WRT54G at Low Yat Plaza more than a year ago and so far it’s working perfect. Recently I’m just thinking of upgrade WRT54G – Wireless-G Broadband Router firmware for play around.
And finally I’m decided to upgrade Firmware version 4.20.7 after google around from my default firmware version 2.2 just now.
How to upgrade firmware?
- Download latest firmware here
- Goto http://192.168.1.1/ and enter your username/password (default is admin/admin if you didn’t change).
- Goto “Administration -> Firmware Upgrade”, browse to firmware/binary file and flash it.
- Do NOT interrupt the flashing process and patiently wait until the router has rebooted.
- Congratulation! DONE!
